Italian Festive Feast
4th December 2021, we here at the Oystercatcher held an Italian festive feast for the local community, we had a fabulous real-life Italian cooking alongside the Chef to create a wonderful 3-course meal for everyone to enjoy.
We made sure it was Italian-themed through & through, with everyone sitting together, enjoying lots of red wine, limoncello & hearty Italian food.
We have joined together with our very lovely local Italian, Andrea Ladas, together we put together a menu for 30 people, our aim long term is to offer a supper club once a month for the community as we feel it's important especially through these dark and cold months everyone has something to look forward to. We love the concept as it means we are able to sit down and enjoy the experience with everyone else. It gave us a chance to enjoy the company of our guests as well as some authentic Italian food... What a treat.
Each month we are hoping to offer a different corner of the world.

Cipollina Bianco comes from Puglia, the picturesque heel of Italy. A bright & breezy white with citrus and perfumed apple blossom on the nose. The palate has ripe citrus and peach with a hint of fresh herbs and a zesty fresh finish
FIANO MASSERIA BIANCA 2020
The grapes of this Fiano are grown on limestone-rich soils near the Ionian Sea. The soil, cooling breezes, and warmth of Puglia contribute to delivering this thirst-quenching wine. On the nose nectarines, honeysuckle, tropical fruit, and almonds combine with floral notes, on the palate is round and crisp, with a twist on the finish that makes it just delicious.
CIPOLLINA ROSSO TERRE SICILIANE 2019
This red wine is spicy and juicy, with a flavor of plums and ripe dark cherries.
MUCCHIETTO IGT PRIMITIVO DEL SALENTO
Fresh red cherry, with a hint of sweet spice on the nose, the palate is crammed with juicy plums and blueberries, cinnamon and vanilla with dark chocolate. The wine has velvety tannins and an uplifting fresh finish to balance the rich fruit.
